ILEA will be holding its Spring Institutional Forum on Tuesday, June 21st for institutional representatives. The ZOOM link has been sent out to members.

Agenda and Guidelines

1.     Welcome and Introductions

2.     Professional Development for 2022-2023

3.     Language Offerings for 2022-2023 – member school districts will be asked to fill in a chart with their VIRTUAL offerings for 22-23 for both elementary and secondary to be shared across Ontario school districts

4.     European Day of Languages 2022 – this ILEA annual event will take place again in either in-person or virtual formats; in-person guest speakers would be restricted to Toronto and Ottawa regions due to involvement of embassies and consulates – school districts are all encouraged to participate by at least having one EU speaker do a twenty-minute language class plus language awareness activities in a classroom (online or in-person where possible)

5.     Summer Sharing 

6.     Site Administrators in ILEA and the Pilot with London Catholic District School Board (Constantine and Alma) – members are asked on the progress of adding those to program offerings

7.     Ukrainian – members may share their focus on adding Ukrainian programs based on current demand

8.     Fall Forum – ideas for language in focus, presentations, ideas, format
