ILEA is the International Languages’ Educators’ Association and it is the subject association that the Ministry of Education works with in matters related to the teaching of International Languages at the elementary and secondary level. ILEA is particularly focused on promoting multilingualism and global learning via strong language and culture learning programs.
MEETING DETAILS
The meeting will take place starting at Albert Education Centre (formerly known as Ottawa Technical Learning Centre). The address is 440 Albert Street at Bay Street.
Parking lot is available across the street from the BACK of the school at Slater and Bay Street.
Please follow the signs when you are in the building – the information session on the new IL-S curriculum guidelines will be in room W135.
Please see the attached agenda and take note that the new document is only one of the topics to be covered on the agenda but it has been moved to the afternoon in order to make better use of your time away from school. Lunch will be provided on that day – please let us know of any dietary needs you may have.
Curriculum Services, OCDSB International Languages, OCENET and ILEA (ilea.ca) are all sponsors of the day for space, food, supply coverage and materials. This meeting will also have representatives of over 20 school board members of ILEA from across Ontario.
